
On Sunday night, April 5, the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas was the most happening place for all things country, as the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards commenced.
Tha show was anchored by Reba McEntire, the big bash kick started with an ensemble performance by Brooks & Dunn, featuring Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts. McEntire called out, “What an opening! Now that’s what I call a stimulus package!”
Moreover through the event, Taylor Swift was presented with a special ACM Crystal Milestone Award for his contribution to pull young listeners to the world of country music.
Benevolently hugging Reba, Swift exclaimed, “Are you serious? To you guys who come to my show. I have absolutely fallen in love with you and will never forget you, ever.”
With Miley Cyrus rocking the floor with her piece of “The Climb,” the event put up the shutters with Carrie Underwood being named this year’s Entertainer of the Year - an award voted on by fans around the world.
